Chilly days in Silicon Valley

It has been quite chilly in California since I got home from Mimi and Bapa's house. I haven't been able to swim and it has been boring compared to the Barbies and swimming in Redwood Falls. Here a few pictures of what I have been doing the last 3 days. I made Playdough food for daddy. We had pizzas, cakes, ice cream, sprinkles and salad. I also played Princess dress up in mommy's clothes. I even got to put on lipstick. Then I played photographer. I took loads of pictures. I am very talented with the lens, just like my Auntie Katy. I also went to the park once and took a walk to the mailbox. Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me... I want to go swimming!!!

Long day- bye, bye Ouffie!

I said good bye to Ouffie this morning- "I ove you" is all I said...

I drove 2 hours in the car from Redwood Falls to Minneapolis. Then I waited 2 hours at the airport on a delayed flight. Then I flew 4 hours in an airplane (I slept for 2 of them) and then I drove for 45 minutes to my apartment in Mountain View. Then I waited for 3 hours for Daddy to finish his work so I could FINALLY go get my rice and beans. I fell off the chair at the restaurant because I wasn't sitting in it like a good girl should. I hit my head on the ceramic tile floor- ouch! Mommy is making me sit at the table on my bum or knees now. I have to say "may I be excused please" before she will let me go play again. Being a princess is hard work!

Family fun

This weekend was the Davis family reunion. It was so much fun. There were kids and tasty treats everywhere! Friday night everyone came to Mimi & BaPa's house. Abby, Catie and Jillian got there really early so we could play. Then Caleb and Luke came. A couple hours later, everyone was there. On Saturday we went to the Ramsey Zoo and then played at the park. I tried to go swimming with everyone too but it was too cold. I took a nap instead. That night we had a picnic at the park. I loved playing on the swings and in the sand at the sand volleyball courts. All the kids were rushed off for baths after the fun in the sand. Then I got to play until bedtime with Caleb, Gabby and Catie. We played dogs. It was so much fun!

I played outside all day today. Mommy brought my micro-mini pool with from California. I learned about water guns too.

Trip to Mimi & BaPa's House

Today I left my apartment in California really early to go see Mimi & Bapa. I was so good on the airplane. I took a nap and watched Cinderella. When we got to Minneapolis, Grandma Susie picked us up. Then we stopped at Abby and Catie's house to see Jillian. She is so cute. I got to hold her. It rained while we were there. Then Mom and I drove to Redwood Falls to stay with Mimi & Bapa. I took a bath their big bathtub when I got there. Then I ran around the house naked. Here I am playing naked piano and then riding the zebra.

Daddy's Birthday

Today was Daddy's birthday. Grandma Susie, Mommy, Daddy and I went to the farmers market first thing in the morning. We got raspberries, strawberries and my oatmeal raisin cookie! Then we hurried home and got in the car! We drove to Santa Cruz to see the ocean. We had lunch at the beach and then built sand castles. I had so much fun that I fell asleep on the ride home. We had Mexican for dinner next to our house. Then it was cupcakes from Sprinkles. Happy Birthday Daddy!

Burger time!

Grandma Susie arrived today. After we picked her up we went for a swim. I jumped in before Mommy got in and went overboard! Daddy jumped in to save me in his clothes and shoes! He had both cell phones in his pocket and the water broke both of them. Opps! After I got my head out of the water I just said, "that was an easy one". No coughing either. I learned how to go under in swimming. Later we went to dinner at a fish restaurant, I got a hamburger though. It was lots of fun.

Daddy & Luke's Birthday Dinner

Tonight we walked up to dinner at Xahn. It was yummy. I had rice muffins and it came with an orchid. I took lots of pictures of Luke & Jenny and Mommy & Daddy. I took some food shots too.

I can swim by myself. This is so much more fun than playing with my toys on the first two steps of the pool.

These days I prefer to be naked. So far I have been pretty good when running around as free as bird but I did have an accident the other day. Mom is very glad that we are in an apartment and not our house back home. YOU CAN'T CATCH ME! I WILL NOT (repeat) WILL NOT WEAR CLOTHES!
