My first trip to Washington D.C.

Daddy had a work trip to Washington, D.C. that he let me come along on. I was so good on the airplane (again). The night we got in, Mommy and I hung out in the hotel room while Daddy worked. The next day we went to see Daddy at the Trademark Expo. I got to see the Dough boy, Heinz ketchup guy, a Hershey kiss & chocolate bar and lots more. Later that day we went to see the monuments in Washington D.C. (we stayed in Alexandria, VA). It was my favorite part of the trip. The weather was perfect and some the cherry blossoms were still in bloom. The next day we went to visit Daddy again and then walked to the heart of Old Town for lunch. After lunch we went to D.C. again and looked at lots of government buildings. Then we went to see the Nationals play a ball at the new stadium. I got a baseball from bating practice (we were there an hour before game time). I was so exhausted on the Metro ride back to the hotel. I finally fell asleep on Mommy. Our last day of the trip, we hung around Alexandria because it was raining on and off. We started at Starbucks and then had lunch at a cool restaurant in Old Town again. Then we got to go for swim. That was my second favorite part of the trip. I loved all the fountains and doggies that I got to see too! I like vacations!!!

Birthday Party at Grandma's House

Grandma had a birthday party for me so I could celebrate with my Great Aunts and Second Cousin Lorena. It was a lot of fun. Lorena and I rocked in Grandma's chair until we were laughing ourselves silly!

My First Birthday

This photos are a bit out of order... I started my day by sleeping in until 9:45 am. Mom and Dad had to wake me up for swimming lessons. After swimming we took a long walk with Lula. It was really warm and sunny outside. At 2 pm my first birthday party started. Both of my Grandparents and Aunt Katy came. I got to have chocolate cake with butter cream frosting for the first time. Mommy thought I wouldn't like it... she was wrong! I also loved the raspberry sorbet. After we had cake I got to open all kinds of wonderful presents. It was so much fun. When the guests left, I took a 2 hour nap and then played some more. Birthdays are wonderful!!! OH... I ALSO STARTED WALKING TODAY! I just stood up in the middle of the room and walked to Mommy. Mommy and Daddy were so excited.

Easter morning- the big reveal

Check out all the loot I got. I got plastic eggs with squirty bath toys in them. I also got a fish for the bath. Best of all, I got my very own cell phone!!! I got a pretty bunny too but I wasn't too interested in it.

Mom had cool toys!

Mommy, Aunt Katy and Grammie dug out some old Fisher Price toys for me. They were covered in dust and icky stuff so they washed them up for me. I played with the farm a lot. I really liked ringing the bell inside the hospital. Who knew old toys could be so much fun. I kept hearing Auntie Katy and Mommy say that they don't make toys like they used to.
