New Year's Eve 2007

I spent New Year's Eve with Mommy & Daddy. We played and then I had to go to bed. Grammie & Grampee went to a fancy party.

Nine Months Old Today

I am nine months old today (actually I was yesterday- this picture is a day late)! I took a long walk to the park with Mommy, Daddy and Lula today. It was so nice and warm outside. While we were sitting outside, I was the first to spot the fox (which Daddy called a wild dog that Lula would not like to meet).

Wildlife Zoo- Oh my!

I got to go to the zoo today. I love the zoo. Animals make me so happy. I even got to see a giraffe, my favorite, up close and personal. It was a little cold but it was worth it.

Airplanes fly in the sky... zoom!

Today I went on my first airplane ride. We had to sit and wait on the runway for about an hour, which made the flight extra long for me. Especially when I would much rather be crawling and walking. I cried three times but for no longer than 2 minutes. My ears hurt a little bit I think. I was also so tired that I didn't know what to do. Mommy woke me up at 4:30 am! I NEVER get up that early. I usually sleep from 8:30 pm to 8 am so I was very tired all day. Lula was with us on the plane. She was a good example for me- she is very good at flying.

Christmas Morning

Santa is so cool! I got a F.A.O. Schwartz teddy bear that is as big as me, a shiny white piano, maracas and some more books! This is so much fun! After I played with my Santa toys, Grandma Charlie and Aunt Eloise came over for Christmas brunch. I got to open MORE presents. Grandpa got me a pull toy, some dolls and a really cool lock box that use to be my Daddy's. Later Grandma Susan came over too. I got to try out the sled that she gave me. I think Daddy will post a movie of that later in the blog. What a day... but it doesn't end there. The Schroeders, Strucks and other Schroeder's and Aunt Katy came over for some holiday cheer at night. It was fun because there were a lot of kids to play with. My second cousins Catie & Abby and Caleb were there. Oh, what fun Christmas is. In the morning Mommy, Daddy, Grammie, Grampee, Lula and I leave for Arizona. I hope flying is as fun as everyone says!

After Grandma Susan's house we went home to open presents with Grammie and Grampee and Aunt Katy at my house. I got some cool musical instruments and classes at a MacPhail where Daddy took music classes when he was little. I was pretty tired and ready for bed after the opening was done. I feel right to sleep.

Christmas Eve with Grandma Susan

I spent my first Christmas Eve at Grandma Susan's house. When we got there we took family pictures and then we got to open presents. I got lots of fun new things... books, toys and a SLED! I was pretty tired so I took a long nap during the party in Grandma Susan's bed. My second cousin Lorena let me play with her new farm toy. She was the only other little kid there. Next year we are going to run the present opening... it takes too long to get to our turn!

My cousin Catie came over today. We played and watched a movie. She wouldn't let me play with her tractor though... boo hoo!

The Nutcracker

Mommy & I met Daddy downtown for lunch. After lunch in the Skyroom we went to see the Nutcracker. It was really fun. I loved the glittery snow!

I got to play the piano for the first time at my Grammie's house. I love the piano. It is so much fun!

We got all dressed up in our Christmas outfits to pose for the camera at Grammie's house. Mommy gave me a candy cane to hold in the pictures but I liked to suck on it too much- don't worry the wrapper was on. My cousins also came for a visit to Grammie's. We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one! I got to eat a spoon & they got real food.

HOLY COW IT IS COLD OUTSIDE TONIGHT! We went to Sunnyside Gardens to greens for our fireplace tonight. My nose is so cold!

Let it snow!

This was the first BIG snow! I love to watch it come down- it is so graceful!
